Exchange 2003 SP1

I heard a rumor that Microsoft was going to announce SP1 at TechEd and turns out it was true.

Go here for more info.  From what I can read the main reason for me to install is the GUI interface for configuring RPC over HTTPS.  If you don’t know what that is then you need to check into it.  Secure email using the full version of Outlook2003 without a VPN or exposing your exchange servers to the nasties of the outside world.

They also have a tools roll up package here which has the following:

  • Add Root Certificate
  • Address Rewrite
  • Application Analyzer 2003 for Lotus Notes
  • ArchiveSink
  • Authoritative Restore
  • AUTD Binding Cleanup
  • Auto Accept Agent
  • Badmail Deletion and Archiving
  • E-Mail Journaling Advanced Configuration
  • Importer for Lotus cc:Mail Archives
  • Disable Certificate Verification
  • DNS Resolver
  • Error Code Look-up
  • Exchange Server Domain Rename Fixup
  • Exchange Server Profile Update
  • Exchange Server Stress and Performance 2003
  • Inter-Organization Replication
  • Exchange Deployment Tools
  • Mailbox Merge Wizard (ExMerge)
  • GUIDGen
  • Jetstress
  • LegacyDN
  • Load Simulator 2003
  • Information Store Viewer (MDBVU32)
  • Management Pack
  • Management Pack Configuration Wizard
  • MTA Check
  • na>Outlook Web Access Web Administration
  • SMTP Internet Protocol Restriction and Accept/Deny List Configuration
  • Up-To-Date Notifications Troubleshooting
